Helping each other get back up again

Mental health and wellbeing following a disaster

Queenslanders have had a tough year, and have experienced some of the worst natural disasters in living memory. While some people have returned to their normal lives, others are continuing to experience difficulties months after the cyclones and floods. If you or your loved ones are experiencing any of the following, it’s time to seek help:

  • Distress, sadness or anger that interferes with day to day functioning
  • Feeling overwhelmed and fearful
  • Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
  • Loss of hope or interest about the future
  • Thoughts about suicide or self-harm

It's ok to not be ok - there is help available. Visit Resources and fact sheets for further information and advice.
