Cleaning – how to hit bacteria where it lives.

When you properly clean your surfaces and utensils, it only takes a few seconds, to avoid the spread of bacteria to your food and around your kitchen.

Thoroughly clean your benches with hot soapy water or cleaning spray.

Also carefully wash your chopping boards, and utensils in hot soapy water, with a scrubbing brush.

Or, use your dishwasher if you have one.

Remember, knives, utensils and chopping boards that have been used for raw meats, chicken and egg must be washed after use to avoid cross contamination.

Oh, and it’s a good idea to use different coloured chopping boards for your raw meats and ready to eat foods.

Playing it safe with food only takes a few seconds.

It’s always worth it.
