Eggs – you’ll never guess why they can be dangerous.
Eggs are very good for you.
But due to how they’re laid, always take a few seconds to check them for cracks and dirt.
If they are dirty or cracked, don’t buy them because the salmonella bacteria gets in via cracks and grows inside.
If you find they’re dirty, never wash them with water because washing allows the bacteria to get inside the egg.
And if you’re handling eggs when making home made foods, even in small quantities …avoid spreading bacteria, by washing your hands.
Oh and please don’t keep home made foods containing raw egg for longer than 24 hours.
Playing it safe with food only takes a few seconds and it’s always worth it.
